About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a varied and impactful portfolio of technical services projects across the borough. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing and developing the team and associated budgets
  • Leading projects covering car parking, drainage, bridges, land management and related infrastructure across the borough
  • Advising on flood risk and working closely with partners such as the Environment Agency and Kent County Council
  • Overseeing winter maintenance, bridge inspections, CCTV operations and electric vehicle charging infrastructure

You’ll work from our Kings Hill offices, with flexibility to work remotely and regular opportunities to be out on site across the borough.

About You

You’ll hold a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline – or be able to demonstrate substantial experience in a related field. You’ll also bring strong project management capability, gained through a recognised qualification or significant practical experience delivering complex programmes of work. While previous managerial experience is an advantage, we’re open to applications from candidates who are ready to develop their leadership skills with our support. Your technical knowledge, problem-solving ability, and collaborative approach will be key to delivering safe, sustainable, and high-quality services and infrastructure for our residents.
