The Union of Shop, Distributive and Allied Workers is one of the UK’s largest trade unions. A vacancy exists for a Research Administrator based at the Union’s Head Office. Please note that this position is fully office based.

Principal Duties:

Under the general direction of the Head of Research and Policy, to provide general administrative support in connection with the smooth running of the department, to administer the Usdaw pay and conditions database and produce statistical reports on recruitment activities.

The successful applicant will possess the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and have well-developed planning and organisational skills; the ability to communicate effectively; the ability to work harmoniously in a team and with individual colleagues; a methodical approach with close attention to detail; the ability to make sound judgements and know when to refer more complex queries; the ability to respond to change, and be adaptable and flexible to the changing needs of the job and the Union.
