We have an opportunity for a commercially aware and delivery-focused M&E Manager to join us on our mission to support the successful planning, procurement, and delivery of M&E works across our projects and bids.
What we need from you:
A well-organised team player with sound technical judgement and strong commercial awareness, who is familiar with electrical infrastructure and electrical principles. You will work as an M&E Manager, holding a qualification in electrical engineering and/or an electrical HND, whilst also having the appropriate skills and experience to fulfil the following duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tender/Pre-Construction Stages
- Co-ordinate and attend site surveys
- Evaluate M&E supplier proposals for scope completeness, risk, programme, and commercial alignment
- Support the bid team with pricing strategy, risk allowances, qualifications, and clarifications for M&E scope
- Project Delivery for M&E Works
- Support site surveys as required to inform delivery strategy.
- Produce technical and delivery requirements for supplier quotations and carry out evaluation.
- Attend design meetings (along with design sub-contractor as required).
- Provide technical and delivery support to PDS Supervisors and Project Managers.
- Assist the Project Manager in the planning, execution, and completion of the M&E sub-contract works.
- Manage suppliers progress and performance, ensuring alignment with project plans.
- Manage and review the production of supplier designs to ensure alignment with the employers requirements, buildability, interfaces, and delivery risk without assuming design responsibility.
- Manage M&E Factory Acceptance Tests and review all relevant documentation.
- Manage the coordination of the designer and installer, which may be different subcontractors.
- Review RAMS and test documentation for suitability, completeness and alignment with agreed methodologies.
- Manage site supervisors for M&E works.
- Manage installation handover, including support for testing, commissioning and documentation close-out.
- Staff & Technical Oversight
- Provide functional oversight and technical support to commissioning, design and CAD resources, where applicable.
Requirements:
- Electrical Engineering and/or electrical HND qualification with proven experience.
- Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure and multi-discipline M&E systems.
- Excellent IT competency Excel and Word mandatory.
- Strong supplier and client management skills.
- Demonstrable experience supporting bids or pre-construction activities.
- Ability to identify and clearly communicate technical and commercial risk.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Flexibility and adaptability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Full UK Manual Driving License.
- Candidates must be legally permitted to work in the Republic of Ireland without restriction. The company does not offer sponsorship for this role.
