Job Purpose
We are looking for a super-sharp Test Engineer to work in our Agile development teams.
You will be working in a great atmosphere on stimulating projects with other talented test engineers.
We will need you to provide high quality testing services to the engineering team, working with other testers assigned to a project.
You will be working closely with developers and the product owner.
Our testing work involves gaining a deep understanding of the product so that you can focus your testing activities.
Principle Duties And Responsibilities
- Gain a deep technical understanding of the product you are testing to a developer level
- Working with developers, other testers and product experts, write effective and efficient tests
- Carry out both formally scripted and exploratory testing
- Actively participate in sprint planning and other project group activities
Essential Skills And Experience
Essential
- Minimum three years’ experience working as a tester
- Demonstrable ability to write efficient and effective manual tests
- A strong interest in the technical side of information technology and software development
- Working knowledge of Ubuntu or other Linux distributions
- Use of defect tracking tools (Jira, Xray)
- Comfortable using command line tools
- Debug / troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal
- STEM degree or similar equivalent qualifications
Desirable
- Demonstrable experience with networking
- Knowledge of vulnerability management and CVE best practices
