- Stay curious about new design trends, tools, and best practices
- Work within and help maintain our evolving design system
- Use basic HTML, CSS, or JavaScript skills to support interactive prototypes or collaborate with developers
Expectations in the Role:
- User‑Focused Mindset: A natural ability to think about what users need and how to make their experience seamless
- Team Player: Comfortable collaborating with colleagues from different disciplines and taking on constructive feedback
- Curiosity for Technology: Interest in working with data, A.I., and modern digital tools—even if you’re still learning
- Attention to Detail: Care and precision in design work, with an eye for layout, colour, and consistency
- Eager to Learn: A growth mindset and willingness to ask questions, explore new ideas, and develop your skills
- Passion for Design: A portfolio that demonstrates creativity and potential—coursework, personal projects, or freelance work all count
- Web Development Basics: Any exposure to HTML, CSS, or JavaScript is beneficial, though not required
Qualifications:
- Recent graduate in UX/Interaction/Product Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, Digital Media, or a related field
- Portfolio showcasing UI/UX design work (uni projects, personal work, internships, or freelance)
- Familiarity with modern design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
- Understanding of core design principles, including layout, colour, and typography
- Some exposure to web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus
- Interest in areas like data visualisation, app design, or A.I. is welcome but not essential
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to present ideas and respond to feedback
- Eligibility to work in the UK
