Nortek Electronic Circuits Ltd is a UK leader in automotive electronics and control systems. We design and manufacture innovative products used in public service and specialist vehicles across the Country. We are looking for an experienced Electronics Technician to help us bring new ideas to life — from prototype through to production.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the development, testing, and documentation of new automotive products.
  • Assist with prototype builds, test rigs, and initial validation of electronic designs.
  • Create wiring loom drawings, build documents, and BOMs for production.
  • Program Atmel / Microchip / STM devices and perform board‑level fault finding.
  • Carry out minor PCB modifications and basic designs in Altium or Kicad.
  • Produce and edit case drawings in AutoCAD.
  • Provide on‑site installation and technical support for customers across the UK.

What You’ll Bring

  • Solid hands‑on experience in electronics or manufacturing.
  • A qualification in Electronic Engineering (or related).
  • Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
  • Understanding of J1939 CANBUS protocol (advantageous).
  • Working knowledge of either Altium or Kicad as well as AutoCAD.
  • Attention to detail and confidence working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Full UK driving licence (max 3 penalty points).
