The purpose of the position is to help our technical specialists remain organised and in control of project information, deadlines, document requests and outstanding actions across a busy workload. The role will involve:
- Maintaining project trackers, registers and accurate records
- Monitoring actions, deadlines and document requests
- Sending forms, template packs and information requests
- Following up clients, consultants and project teams by email and telephone
- Chasing missing or overdue information
- Collating documents and supporting the preparation of submissions
- Identifying and escalating blockers, delays and repeated non-response
- Providing wider project administration and coordination support to the technical teams
This is an important coordination role, but it is not a technical Principal Designer position. The successful person will not be expected to make professional compliance decisions, provide technical sign-off or undertake Principal Designer duties. You do not need to already be a Building Safety Act or CDM expert. Training can be provided for the technical context.
We are particularly interested in colleagues who can demonstrate:
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Confidence communicating by email and telephone
- The persistence to follow up outstanding information professionally
- Good Microsoft 365 skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities
- Sound judgement about when a delay, missing document or lack of response needs escalating

Salary: £28,000–£35,000, dependent on relevant experience and qualifications. There may be flexibility for someone bringing particularly strong or directly relevant experience.
Location: Bedford
Working pattern: Full-time, permanent, with office-based or hybrid working to be agreed.
