Responsibilities:
- Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- Professionalism in customer service.
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
- Perform preventive maintenance.
- Report any malfunctions to supervisor.
- Operate various vehicles and equipment.
- Check, lubricate, refuel and clean equipment.
