Job Summary for a Stores Operative
- To work within a stores environment carrying out goods receiving, putting away to locations, paperwork generation, picking kits and supporting production.
- To maintain FIFO.
- To support and work within the Despatch area.
- To ensure processes and procedures are followed.
- To participate in the Perpetual Inventory schedule.
- To ensure housekeeping inside and outside is maintained to an acceptable standard.
- To ensure Health, Safety and Environmental standards are maintained.
- To work as part of a team supporting and being supportive of colleagues.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Computer literate using database, EXCEL, and other relevant software.
- FLT licence is essential.
- Planning and organisation of self and others.
- Self‑motivated, and able to work under own initiative.
- Self‑disciplined and target driven.
- Warehouse experience (pick and kitting operational experience beneficial).
- Problem solving skills.
