This International Packaging Group is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Account Manager to strengthen the UK Sales Team. In this role, you will take ownership of managing and expanding strategic customer relationships across the UK & Ireland. You will act as a trusted advisor to leading brands in Personal Care, Beauty, Homecare, Automotive, Food, and Pharma, identifying growth opportunities and driving long‑term commercial success.
To be effective in this role, you bring strong product knowledge and the ability to translate technical packaging solutions into clear commercial value. With your broad experience in the packaging sector, you bring a mature, consultative approach and the ability to navigate complex customer structures. This is a highly mobile role in which you spend a significant amount of time on the road, engaging directly with customers across your region. You will report directly to the CCO at European headquarters and collaborate closely with international teams to deliver strong commercial performance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities- Manage, develop and grow strategic customer relationships across the UK & Ireland.
- Identify, qualify and convert new business opportunities.
- Conduct regular customer visits to understand strategic needs, challenges, and growth potential.
- Develop and execute account plans, including revenue, margin, and growth targets.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms.
- Monitor and optimise gross margins and overall commercial performance.
- Track sales results versus budget and previous years.
- Represent the Company at trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams (Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Customer Service) to ensure seamless execution.
- Provide broad operational support where needed, including: Registering visit reports and managing complaint follow up, Updating and maintaining annual contracts (e.g., raw material pricing), Ensuring accurate customer data in AFAS, Handling customer communication professionally, Following up on outstanding invoices.
- A person who has at least 5 years of experience in B2B sales or account management.
- Someone who is experienced in packaging and has knowledge of the different kind of products.
- A consultative sales approach with strong commercial awareness.
- A proven track record of managing and growing strategic accounts.
- Strong commercial and analytical skills, including margin and pricing management.
- A genuine passion for working with leading consumer brands.
