About Veritas Workspace Solutions

Veritas Workspace Solutions is a growing technology company delivering Managed IT Services, Cyber Security, Communications, Connectivity, Print Management and Business Automation solutions to businesses across London and the South East.

Our technical division is entering an exciting new phase of growth.

We're investing heavily in our people, technologies and service delivery, creating an opportunity for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to play a key role in shaping the future of the department.

This isn't a role where you'll spend every day firefighting tickets.

We're looking for someone who enjoys designing solutions, delivering projects, mentoring engineers and becoming a trusted technical adviser to our clients.

For the right person, there is a genuine pathway into a future Head of Technology Projects position.

The Role

You'll be the senior technical escalation point for our Service Desk while leading infrastructure and cloud projects across our client base.

Working closely with the Directors, you'll help define technical standards, improve internal systems and contribute to the future direction of our technology division.

This is a hands‑on technical role with significant client interaction and project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.
  • Design, implement and support Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
  • Lead cloud migrations, server upgrades and infrastructure refresh projects.
  • Design and support secure networking solutions, including firewalls, switching, VLANs, VPNs and wireless infrastructure.
  • Manage Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Conditional Access and identity security.
  • Support virtualisation platforms including VMware and Hyper‑V.
  • Configure backup, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
  • Deliver cyber security best practice including Microsoft Defender, Huntress, vulnerability management and security hardening.
  • Produce technical documentation and maintain high implementation standards.
  • Mentor 1st and 2nd Line Engineers, supporting their technical development.
  • Work closely with clients as a trusted technical adviser.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum five years' experience within an MSP or managed services environment.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 administration, Azure infrastructure and cloud services, Microsoft Entra ID and Intune.
  • Windows Server, Hyper‑V and/or VMware.
  • Advanced networking including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs and routing.
  • Firewall experience (Meraki, Fortinet, Sophos, Sonic Wall or similar).
  • Backup and disaster recovery technologies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication and documentation skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Skills

  • Microsoft Azure certifications, Microsoft 365 certifications, Cisco or Meraki networking.
  • Microsoft Defender XDR, Huntress, Sentinel or other SIEM/XDR platforms.
  • Power Shell automation, Share Point migrations, Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Cyber Essentials and security compliance.

What We Offer

  • £55,000 £70,000 depending on experience.
  • Hybrid working, company pension and ongoing Microsoft training and certification funding.
  • Exposure to modern enterprise technologies and involvement in high‑profile infrastructure and cloud projects.
  • A genuine opportunity to influence technical strategy.
  • Clear pathway to Head of Technology Projects for the right individual.

About You

You're an experienced infrastructure engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and takes pride in delivering high‑quality solutions.

You're commercially aware, communicate confidently with clients and colleagues, and want more than just another support role.

You want to influence technology decisions, mentor engineers and help build an exceptional technical team.

If you're looking for an opportunity where your expertise will genuinely shape the future of a growing technology business, we'd love to hear from you.

How to prepare for a job interview at Ozzle

Brush Up on Your Technical Skills

For an IT consulting role, be ready to demonstrate your technical prowess. You might face questions on systems integration, cloud technologies, or even troubleshooting specific software. If you have experience with tools like AWS, Azure, or even specific programming languages, make sure you can talk about them fluently.

Showcase Your Problem-Solving Approach

IT consulting is all about solving problems for clients. Think about how you can illustrate your approach to a past challenge using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result). It's a great way to show how you tackle complex issues and come up with effective solutions.

Know the Business Impact of IT Solutions

When discussing your experiences, focus not just on the tech solutions you implemented, but also on their business impact. Employers want to see that you can connect IT with organisational goals. Prep examples that highlight how your tech contributions improved efficiency or reduced costs for past clients or projects.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

Since IT consulting often involves teamwork and client interactions, expect behavioural questions that assess your interpersonal skills. Be prepared with examples that demonstrate your adaptability, communication skills, and how you handle client feedback. Before the interview, think of situations where you worked closely with clients to create effective IT strategies or changes.
