Base Location: Swindon

Salary: From £25,684 to £27,011.52 depending on skills and experience and working hours - Time Incentive Management (TIM) Bonus Scheme, plus a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday to Friday 8am-4pm. Overtime available for those who want it.

What will I be doing in this role?

  • You’ll be working as part of a team undertaking the installation, maintenance and routine work for a full range of highway lighting apparatus including street lighting columns, lanterns, brackets, poles and signs across the Cotswold area.
  • This is a physically demanding role which will involve you working outdoors and on public highways, where you’ll also hold responsibility for operating a HIAB.
  • In a typical day, you could expect to be:
    • Installing and maintaining street lighting apparatus and furniture, this could be street lights, signposts or signs.
    • Ensuring we deliver outstanding service to our clients and the general public.
    • Working to strict safety guidelines and regulations.

What do I need to be successful in the role?

  • It would be a benefit if you have an electrical background.
  • We work in all weathers! So you need to be the type of person who is happy working outdoors all year round.
  • We do need you to have a full UK Driving Licence as we cover a wide range of locations.
  • An HGV Class 2 Licence.
  • An ALLMI course (The association of lorry loader manufacturers and importers).

Some of our nice to haves are:

  • We would look for you to hold IPAF/PASMA working at heights training.
  • Completion of a G39 Electrical Safety in the planning, installation, commissioning and maintenance of public lighting and other street furniture training course.
