Data Leader / CDO Location: London (flexible working) Salary: £100,000 + 28% pension I am partnering with a leading UK regulatory organisation at the forefront of the energy industry, renowned for driving the transition to a low-carbon economy. This organisation is committed to fostering innovation, building strategic relationships, and ensuring the effective stewardship of resources to address the challenges of a dynamic and evolving sector. They are seeking a visionary Data Leader to take ownership of their data strategy. We are open to speaking to people from a varied background that have the apptitude to step in to the Chief Data Officer position, where you will shape and execute the organisation’s data-driven ambitions. In this role, you will oversee the development, governance, and strategic utilisation of data assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks while enabling informed data driven decision-making. Your leadership will be instrumental in enabling the business to undersatnd and react to the complex challenges facing the energy sector and in reinforcing the organisation’s leadership in sustainable practices. Who You Are: 10+ years experience in the data management, analytics, IT or related roles. Extensive experience in developing and executing strategic initiatives that will create partnerships, alliances and relationship that will enable their data strategy Demonstrated expertise in managing and analysing data within the energy sector. Strong ability to engage and manage both internal and external stakeholders, effectively advocating for the energy industry while addressing its core challenges. Proven track record of fostering relationships with professionals across both sustainability-focused and traditional disciplines. Significant experience in guiding businesses through rapid project delivery while ensuring compliance with established frameworks and standards. Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and C-suite executives to align strategic and operational goals. Background in data architecture, design and planning. Bonus points for experience within the energy sector.
