At OCRI, we’re building a people first business grounded in hospitality, sustainability and exceptional coffee. As we continue to grow globally, we’re looking for an experienced and commercially minded Group Head of HR to lead our people function across the business.

This is a senior leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment and loves balancing strategy with hands on execution. You’ll partner closely with leaders across the UK and NZ, helping shape culture, support growth and build high performing teams.

More than anything, we’re looking for the right person and culture fit. Someone who is a self starter, intrinsically motivated and genuinely cares about people and the business. Someone willing to lead by example, represent and strengthen our culture, and build trusted relationships across all levels of the company.

We’re looking for someone who can see people for who they are while still holding high standards, driving accountability and supporting performance.

THE OPPORTUNITY

  • Leading the global people strategy across the business
  • Partnering with senior leaders to support performance, engagement and organisational growth
  • Running company wide bi annual performance reviews
  • Managing complex employee relations matters and providing practical HR guidance
  • Overseeing recruitment strategy, hiring processes and onboarding
  • Managing BambooHR and continuously improving people systems and processes
  • Overseeing monthly and fortnightly payroll processes
  • Preparing people insights and board reporting
  • Leading culture, engagement and wellbeing initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with UK employment law, with NZ exposure a bonus

ABOUT YOU:

  • 8+ years HR experience, ideally in hospitality, retail or other fast paced operational environments
  • Proven experience in a senior HR leadership or Head of People role
  • Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills
  • Confidence managing employee relations and organisational change
  • Experience running performance review cycles and development initiatives
  • Strong operational capability across payroll, HR systems and people processes
  • Experience using BambooHR highly desirable
  • Understanding of New Zealand employment law advantageous
  • A self starter who is intrinsically motivated and takes ownership of their work
  • Someone who leads by example and actively represents and strengthens company culture
  • A people focused leader who can build trust, understand individuals and support teams to thrive while still driving accountability and performance
  • Someone commercially minded, pragmatic, energetic and highly collaborative
  • Comfortable operating both strategically and hands on in a growing business environment
