We are looking for someone to support our Head of Pastry in creating and preparing our cabinet food and a la carte sweet menus. At Ozone, we strive for betterment for our environment, our people, and our hospitality practices. We are looking for an experienced Pastry Chef De Partie to join our East London kitchen team supporting our Head of Pastry in creating our daily bakes. We love creating dishes by taking inspiration from all of our team and welcome new ideas.
Our chefs work hard to produce seasonal menus working with some of London’s best suppliers (Natoora, Original Beans, Wild Farmed). Our goal is to be 0% waste in our kitchens, currently running at 2-3%. We achieve this through fermenting, pickling, and reusing our bi-waste (turning waste barista milk into ricotta and making syrups using waste vegetable trim!). This role is a part-time role of 24 hours per week.
ABOUT YOU
- 2-3 years experience, either in a bakery or pastry section of a restaurant
- Basic knowledge in cakes, doughs, cookies, tarts, ice cream
- Creative ambition for participating in creating new recipes/bakes
- Positive and personable
- Passion for working sustainably
- Good personal presentation and hygiene
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to maintain a clean section
- Ability to run a section
