This one needs someone ready to take the pen. A 200‐year‐old, family‐owned business is building its property function and is seeking an experienced Group Property Lead to help shape its next chapter. This is a senior role within a highly agile, ambitious organisation where decisions are made quickly, ideas are welcomed, and your influence will be felt immediately.
The property portfolio has developed organically to date, comprising of wholly owned assets, including a mix of owner‐occupied properties and income‐producing assets marketed and let through local letting agents. The business is now looking for someone to bring greater strategic focus and leadership without losing the entrepreneurial spirit.
The Role
- Work closely with the CEO and Directors as part of the Central Services Team
- Take ownership of a mixed, wholly owned commercial property portfolio
- Help shape the property strategy and build the function as it grows
- Work closely with the Finance Director to support capital deployment and investment strategy in the acquisition of assets
- Lead and support the existing team
- Oversee inspections, rent collection, and lease negotiations across income‐producing assets
- Manage service charges, budgets and reconciliations for let properties
- Utilise local letting agents for leasing activity and work closely with the Development Director and FM providers to deliver works and fit‐outs
About You
- Proven commercial property management experience
- Experience involved in the acquisition of commercial assets and their integration into a managed portfolio
- Ambitious, with the drive to build and shape a growing function
- Comfortable operating in a dynamic, evolving environment
- Confident managing service charges and budgets
- Exposure to development‐led projects is advantageous but not essential
