The Opportunity
Our client is responsible for a £2.5bn nationwide mixed‑use estate, including £2bn of commercial real estate, £500m of residential assets, and community‑critical sites across the UK. These buildings don’t just generate income, they change lives. We’re looking for an Assistant Property Director to sit at the heart of that estate, reporting directly to the Property Director, and acting as one of the most senior voices in the property leadership team. You’ll lead 12 experienced professionals, take ownership of strategy, transactions and asset performance, and have genuine autonomy to improve, modernise and unlock value across the portfolio. This is a role for someone who wants to leave fingerprints on a national estate, not just maintain it.
Why This Role Is Different
- True scale: £2.5billion
- Real leadership: Direct responsibility for a high‑calibre, multi‑disciplinary team
- Whole lifecycle ownership: Strategy, acquisitions, disposals, landlord & tenant matters, portfolio optimisation
- Influence at the top: Advising senior stakeholders and helping shape long‑term direction
- A chance to create: Someone who can bring assets to life, re‑position them, and improve how they serve communities
- Development exposure: Knowledge of development and asset enhancement is a real advantage, this is an area ready to grow
Who We’re Looking For
You’ll be a credible, senior property professional, comfortable operating at pace and scale. You’ll bring:
- A strong property management and asset management background
- Deep experience in acquisitions, disposals and landlord & tenant issues
- Confidence managing high‑value commercial, residential and mixed‑use portfolios
- MRICS qualification (desirable, not essential)
