I'm working with a fast-growing and highly ambitious property business that is scaling rapidly, with plans to significantly expand its portfolio over the next 12 months.
As part of this growth, they are looking to hire a Senior Management Accountant to strengthen the finance function and support the next phase of their journey.
The Opportunity
This is a key hire sitting between a part-time Finance Director and an in-house bookkeeper. You’ll take ownership of core accounting activities while helping to build out processes in a growing, entrepreneurial environment.
The role offers excellent exposure to senior leadership, with mentorship from an experienced FD and the opportunity to make a tangible impact from day one.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of the function, particularly a former Client Accountant looking to transition into a broader, more commercially focused position.
Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of monthly management accounts preparation
- Handling service charge reconciliations end‑to‑end
- Overseeing and reviewing bookkeeping outputs
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
- Assisting with system improvements and potential future migration (currently QuickBooks, with possible move to Sage)
- Ensuring strong financial controls and accurate reporting
- Partnering with the Finance Director on ad hoc projects and analysis
About You
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Strong grounding in core accounting fundamentals
- Experience within property, real estate, or a client accounting environment (e.g. similar to a property consultancy setting)
- Confident managing service charge accounting and reconciliations
- Hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a scaling business
- Systems‑savvy with experience using platforms such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar
