An established and highly regarded property consultancy in Central London is seeking a Senior Client Accountant to join its commercial accounting team at an exciting stage of growth. This is a senior-level opportunity with clear management responsibilities, ideal for an experienced commercial client accountant looking to take ownership of both people and portfolio while contributing to the wider strategic direction of the business.
The Role
You will take responsibility for a high-quality portfolio of commercial office assets across Central London, working with institutional-style clients typically found within much larger consultancies. The portfolio consists of multi-let office buildings, managed using MRI Qube, with asset values running into the hundreds of millions.
A key feature of this role is the existing team beneath you. You will oversee, mentor, and develop junior and mid-level client accountants, making this a strong step into formal people management within a collaborative and well-structured environment.
In addition to day-to-day client accounting oversight, you will:
- Act as a senior point of contact for key clients
- Represent the accounting function internally and externally
- Support new business activity, including pitches and transitions
- Play an active role in improving processes and standards across the team
The Business
Despite being a boutique to mid-sized consultancy, the firm operates with the professionalism, systems, and complexity of a national player—while retaining a genuinely collaborative culture. You’ll be joining a strong, settled team, led by a senior leader known for a supportive, open, and consultative management style. This creates an environment where senior hires are trusted, listened to, and given room to shape how the department evolves.
This role is suited to someone who:
- Has a strong background in commercial client accounting
- Has experience reviewing work or informally managing others and is ready for a step into a defined management role
- Is confident explaining financial matters clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- Enjoys building relationships and taking ownership of their accounts
- Wants a long-term opportunity with progression into future leadership
What’s on Offer
Salary up to £60,000, depending on experience. Competitive benefits package. Fully flexible working policy. A genuine route into senior leadership within the firm. A stable, respected platform to grow your management career. Candidates from across the commercial property sector are encouraged to apply. The business is committed to an equitable and inclusive recruitment process and welcomes applications in a format that best represents you.
