This position is fully remote. All Oyster positions are remote and you can work from home anywhere, provided you can be based within a +3/-3 UTC time zone. As a Lead Product Manager for our Pricing & Billing team under the Fintech domain, you will shape and scale Oyster’s pricing infrastructure and billing system. You will own the evolution of our pricing infrastructure and invoicing systems, ensuring they are flexible, transparent, and scalable to support our new products and global expansion. This role sits at the intersection of Product, Sales/GTM, Finance, Legal, and Engineering and is central to advancing Oyster’s mission to make global employment simple.
Product Strategy & Ownership
- Define and own the mid‑to‑long‑term pricing and billing strategy, aligning it with Oyster’s broader product and business goals.
- Lead the end‑to‑end product lifecycle for automated invoicing, billing middleware, and pricing engines.
- Rethink and evolve Oyster’s pricing infrastructure to ensure it is modular, scalable, and capable of supporting diverse global employment products.
Execution & Delivery
- Drive the roadmap in close partnership with Engineering, Design, Finance, Sales, and Legal.
- Own the invoicing system, optimizing it to provide a seamless experience for customers while ensuring accuracy for internal financial reporting.
- Continuously optimize billing workflows to improve revenue collection, reduce billing errors, and minimize manual financial reconciliation.
- Balance the need for custom commercial flexibility with the requirement for a standardized, resilient pricing platform.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Act as the primary product point of contact for Sales & Finance regarding all things billing & pricing, as well as for billing platforms.
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Finance leaders to align on pricing structures, discount logic, and revenue trade‑offs.
- Evaluate market trends and billing technologies to inform "build vs. buy" decisions for our financial stack.
Customer & Data‑Driven Leadership
- Use customer feedback, market benchmarks, and financial data to inform pricing experimentation and billing improvements.
- Champion a transparent billing experience that builds trust with our customers while empowering internal teams with accurate data.
- Clearly communicate the impact of pricing changes and billing updates across the organization.
Core Requirements
- 5+ years of Product Management experience, with a strong track record of ownership and delivery.
- 3+ years of experience in SaaS infrastructure, specifically focused on billing, pricing, or revenue lifecycle management.
- 3+ years of experience in a B2B, highly cross‑functional environment.
- Proven experience partnering closely with Engineering and Finance teams to build complex, logic‑heavy systems.
- Strong data‑driven mindset, with the ability to model the financial impact of product decisions.
- Demonstrated experience operating in international, multi‑cultural environments, working effectively across regions, time zones, and stakeholder groups.
- A proactive, resilient, and adaptable approach, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Bonus Points
- Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Experience working in a remote‑first or fully distributed company.
- Experience with usage‑based pricing or complex multi‑entity billing.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and billing automation tools (e.g., Stripe Billing, Chargebee).
- Domain expertise in Payroll, HR Tech, or Employment Platforms.
- Experience in a high‑growth or scale‑up environment.
