An exciting opportunity has just opened up! If you have a passion for FM both hard and soft services, this could be the perfect role for you. One of the UK's foremost independent schools with three sites is recruiting for a Facilities Manager. Teaming up with the Head of Estates, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the school continues to thrive for generations to come. From historic Grade II listed buildings to cutting-edge modern facilities, you'll encounter a diverse array of challenges.

You will be responsible for the site and security team, consisting of nine individuals, all working to keep the schools operating in a safe and secure environment. This is a management position where you’ll be comfortable developing a team but not afraid to roll up your sleeves when required. Working closely with the House Keeping Manager you’ll ensure smooth operations across cleaning and site services as well as the more technical side.

There will be development opportunities for your team as well as for yourself. The foundation supports CPD and can assist you with additional skills and qualifications. Due to the nature of the work, you’ll need experience in a similar role, be a great organiser, and have a good understanding of health and safety. If you haven't worked in a school before, don't let this discourage you; we are open to applications from all sectors.

In return, you'll receive a list of working benefits as long as your arm: 40 days of holiday, inclusive of bank holidays and shutdown days, healthcare coverage, generous pension employer contributions, fee discount, death in service benefit, gym membership, and even free school meals—the list goes on.

They are committed to the welfare and safeguarding of children. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an Enhanced check for Regulated Activity from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). This is a requirement as the position is within a school working with children under 18 years of age.
