Are you an experienced Disrepair Surveyor looking for your next opportunity within the public sector?
I am working with a Midlands-based Local Authority seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Disrepair Surveyor to join their Property Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in managing housing disrepair cases and improving housing standards for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing housing disrepair claims from inception through to resolution.
- Carrying out property inspections and preparing detailed schedules of work.
- Producing technical reports for legal proceedings and court cases.
- Working closely with legal teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitoring remedial works to ensure compliance and quality standards.
- Ensuring properties meet statutory and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Previous experience handling housing disrepair cases.
- Strong knowledge of housing legislation and repairs obligations.
- Experience working within Local Authority or Social Housing environments.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Relevant surveying qualification desirable.
