On behalf of a highly regarded commercial property firm, we are seeking an exceptional leader to take on a newly established role created as part of a substantial long-term investment in growth. This individual will be at the very top of their game, with an outstanding track record in lease advisory and wider property transactions. The role will be instrumental in defining strategy, leading expansion initiatives, and shaping the future direction of the business. This is not a replacement appointment or a traditional departmental leadership role. The successful individual will be given the platform, investment and senior-level support to build a market-leading Strategic Lease Management business.
You will take ownership of the strategy, grow the retained client base, develop the service proposition and recruit a high-performing team around you. The ambition is for Strategic Lease Management to become one of the consultancy’s principal business divisions.
Working closely with the Chief Executive, Managing Director and Board, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing a three-year growth strategy
- Winning and developing relationships with major corporate occupiers
- Growing a recurring, retained client base
- Providing strategic advice across complex occupational portfolios
- Identifying opportunities for portfolio optimisation and cost reduction
- Enhancing the firm’s existing Strategic Lease Management proposition
- Recruiting, leading and developing a specialist team
- Creating new service lines and commercial revenue opportunities
- Establishing a recognised market profile through networking and thought leadership
- Building predictable, long-term recurring fee income
The successful individual will have the opportunity to shape strategy, influence Board-level decisions, recruit their own team and share directly in the value they help create. This appointment could suit either a senior agency professional with a strong landlord or occupier network or an experienced occupier-side Property Director who understands how to manage and optimise complex property portfolios.
More important than your current job title will be your ability to combine:
- Strong commercial and business development instincts
- Strategic occupier-side property expertise
- An entrepreneurial, business-building mindset
- Credibility with senior property and finance decision-makers
- The leadership capability to recruit and develop a team
- A collaborative and low-ego approach
- The ambition to create a significant and scalable advisory business
This role offers something genuinely different from a conventional Director appointment. You will be able to:
- Build a division rather than inherit one
- Define the strategy and operating model
- Recruit your own team
- Work directly with the senior leadership and Board
- Develop an already proven retained-income proposition
- Build long-term value for both clients and the wider business
- Participate financially in the success you help generate
You will be supported by existing lease advisory, marketing, business development, finance, administration, technology and CRM resources. A dedicated recruitment budget will also be available in line with the agreed business plan.
The package is designed to allow the successful Director to share meaningfully in the growth they create and will include:
- Competitive Director-level base salary
- Tiered commission linked to fee generation
- Additional commission for personally introduced new business
- Participation in an employee profit-sharing structure
- Long-term incentive opportunities connected to business performance and profitability
