An exciting opportunity for an experienced Captain and Mate/Chef couple to join a private sailing yacht with adventurous owners and an evolving cruising program. These owners are busy professionals and will be flying in and out with family and friends for charter style cruising. They are also keen to learn more about their yacht and become more accomplished as sailors as they spend more time on her. So this is an ideal role for experienced charter crew who also enjoy sharing their knowledge and love of sailing with others while maintaining professional standards on board.
Following launch and sea trials in UK, this beautiful yacht will be bound for the Med /Adriatic for the summer season and has plans for a Caribbean winter season with an open schedule for adventures further afield. The owners are open to itinerary recommendations and value the guidance of an experienced Captain.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a capable crew couple seeking a varied role that combines adventure, owner interaction, high standards of yacht management, and the chance to help shape a growing cruising programme.
Requirements
Captain
- Yachtmaster Offshore/Ocean
- Strong sailing experience.
- STCW
- ENG1
- AEC 1 & 2 / Good engineering knowledge and hands-on maintenance skills.
- Charter experience highly desirable.
- Comfortable working with owners who enjoy being involved and learning.
Mate/Chef
- STCW
- ENG1
- Yachtmaster offshore
- Previous experience as a Mate/Chef onboard sailing yachts.
- Strong cooking & provisioning skills
- Charter experience is highly desirable.
- Proven experience working together.
- Charter-oriented approach with a warm, personable style.
- Able to keep the yacht immaculate, organised, and guest-ready at all times.
