Are you an experienced HVAC and refrigeration technician who enjoys solving complex challenges and sharing your expertise with others? Our client, a well-established rental equipment provider, is looking for an experienced Senior Install Technician to join their growing team. As a Senior Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring temporary equipment performs reliably. You'll diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues, complete detailed service documentation and test equipment to guarantee readiness before deployment. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining service standards, supporting customers with technical guidance and mentoring junior team members as they develop their skills in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair work on rental equipment, including HVAC and power generation systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Inspect and test equipment to confirm it is operating correctly and ready for use.
  • Provide technical support and advice to customers on the operation of equipment.
  • Maintain accurate service reports and maintenance records.
  • Mentor and assist junior technicians with training and skill development.

Who They’re Looking for:

  • Previous experience working with HVAC, power generation or similar industrial equipment.
  • Strong chiller knowledge.
  • Strong fault-finding abilities across mechanical and electrical systems.
  • The ability to interpret wiring diagrams, technical drawings and service manuals.
  • F-Gas qualification – desirable.
  • A full UK driving licence.
