Our client, a refrigeration engineering company renowned for their expertise in large-scale and complex refrigeration systems, is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Supervisor to join their team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to lead a team of engineers, oversee projects, and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety in the installation, servicing, and maintenance of complex refrigeration systems.
On Offer
25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell up to 5 additional days, door-to-door pay structure, overtime rates of 1.5x or 2x, 3x for bank holidays, company pension with up to 7% matching, company vehicle available for personal use, health insurance and care scheme, company bonus.
Responsibilities
- Plan, oversee, and monitor the work of a team of engineers for maintenance, repairs, and commissioning projects
- Ensure quality control and adherence to technical, safety, and industry standards, including F-Gas and ammonia safety regulations
- Provide technical support for complex faults and repairs on various refrigeration systems
- Assist with system commissioning and stay updated with emerging technologies
- Lead, mentor, and develop engineers, conducting performance reviews and organizing training sessions
- Interpret technical data and ensure correct commissioning procedures
- Enforce health & safety requirements, prepare RAMS, and investigate safety incidents
- Act as the main technical and operational contact for clients, attend site meetings, and identify opportunities for system improvements
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a refrigeration engineer (minimum 5 years)
- F-Gas Category 1 certification (mandatory)
- City & Guilds Level 2/3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent)
- Experience with ammonia and COâ‚‚ plant
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience
- Full UK driving licence
