An established, forward-thinking engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Mechanical Engineer to join its growing building services team. This is a chance to work on a broad mix of commercial, residential, and critical projects, contributing to designs that are technically robust, sustainable, and fit for modern use.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll play a key part in the design and delivery of public systems across a wide range of projects. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you’ll be involved from concept through to delivery, ensuring designs are coordinated, compliant and commercially sound.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver coordinated, efficient designs across multiple project types
- Design above and below ground drainage systems
- Produce clear and accurate calculations, specifications, and technical reports
- Design hot and cold-water systems and fire suppression systems
- Attend design team meetings, client meetings, and site inspections
- Manage multiple tasks and priorities while working to tight deadlines
- Ensure designs meet agreed budgets, programmes, and quality expectations

- Experience working as a Mechanical Engineer
- Understanding of drainage, rainwater, and domestic water services
