Are you a skilled technician with a strong mechanical background and experience working with commercial vehicles? Our client, a well-established provider of transport refrigeration equipment is looking for a Mobile Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join their team. You will travel across your allocated area, carrying out servicing, preventative maintenance, fault finding and repairs across a customer fleet. This is a great opportunity to develop your technical skills, become multi skilled and play an important role in keeping vehicles safe, reliable and operational.
Key Responsivities:
- Carry out servicing, preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults
- Attend customer sites to complete inspections, repairs and maintenance
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults
- Complete job cards, service records and timesheets accurately
- Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
- Support continuous improvement across mobile operations
- Complete relevant training to become multi skilled
Who They're Looking For:
- Mechanical or commercial vehicle experience
- Strong mechanical and technical knowledge
- Fault finding and diagnostic experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Electrical knowledge and ability to read wiring diagrams, desirable
- Computer literate
- Full UK driving licence - essential
- Flexible in working overtime when required
- Able to participate in early shift pattern
