An established, forward-thinking engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Mechanical Engineer to join its growing building services team. This is a chance to work on a broad mix of commercial, residential, and critical projects, contributing to designs that are technically robust, sustainable, and fit for modern use. As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll play a key part in the design and delivery of public systems across a wide range of projects. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you'll be involved from concept through to delivery, ensuring designs are coordinated, compliant and commercially sound.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver coordinated, efficient designs across multiple project types
  • Design above and below ground drainage systems
  • Produce clear and accurate calculations, specifications, and technical reports
  • Design hot and cold-water systems and fire suppression systems
  • Attend design team meetings, client meetings, and site inspections
  • Manage multiple tasks and priorities while working to tight deadlines
  • Ensure designs meet agreed budgets, programmes, and quality expectations

Who They’re Looking For

  • Experience working as a Mechanical Engineer
  • Understanding of drainage, rainwater, and domestic water services
  • Experience using Revit and AutoCAD
  • Consultancy background with experience delivering technically complex projects
