Overview
Our client, a well-established hotel specialising in MICE, is seeking an experienced Sales Manager. Renowned in the UK for tailored MICE solutions, they offer versatile spaces and services designed to meet diverse client needs.
Responsibilities
- Proactively source new leads for direct corporate business and develop opportunities through targeted research
- Define key industry types within the UK and align new business development efforts with budget targets
- Conduct client visits, arrange and host FAM trips and client showrounds to showcase the company\\\’s offerings
- Engage in telesales activities to generate new business and maximise sales lead opportunities for MICE sales
- Uncover new business potential, manage and build relationships with key clients to drive long-term partnerships
- Attend networking events, trade shows and exhibitions to promote the company\\\’s services and identify new leads
- Support the reactive team with show rounds and enquiry conversion to ensure seamless client experiences
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the competitive set and market trends to inform sales strategies
- Track and manage accounts, complete reports, and maintain/source corporate rate agreements
Who They\\\’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a sales Business Development role, preferably within the hospitality or MICE sector
- Demonstrable track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with clients at all levels
- Proven organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating with multiple stakeholders
- Results-driven mindset with a positive, proactive attitude and a passion for sales
