We’re looking for an accomplished Electrical Design Associate Director within the construction and the MEP space to join a well-established building services team in a key leadership role. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on technically complex high-impact projects across sectors such as healthcare, science and research while helping shape the future of both your team and the built environment.

As an Electrical Design Associate Director, you’ll be at the forefront of project delivery, client engagement and technical leadership. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on your team, your clients and the wider industry. This is hybrid working 2 - 3 days in the office and the rest from home.

Key Responsibilities for this Role:
  • Leading large-scale, multi-disciplinary design projects from inception through to delivery
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients, developing strong and lasting relationships
  • Coordinating teams and consultants to deliver projects that meet technical, commercial, and sustainability targets
  • Supporting and mentoring engineers within the local team to ensure high performance and professional growth
  • Managing resources effectively to maintain profitability and quality across multiple schemes
  • Playing an active role in proposals, bids and business development
What They’re Looking For:
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in electrical engineering for the built environment
  • Chartered Engineer status (or working towards)
  • Demonstrated experience in a team leadership role—able to manage, motivate, and delegate confidently
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems with a broad understanding of other building services disciplines
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercial awareness with experience delivering high-value projects on time and on budget
  • Competence in relevant software and industry tools
