Are you a newly qualified engineer with proven CAD experience and ideally programming skills, looking for a role where you can apply your expertise to real-world projects? Our client is a leading manufacturer across the UK and Europe looking for a CAD and Programming Engineer to join their growing team and help drive the next phase of their product development. This role sits at the heart of their engineering operations, supporting the design, development and delivery of high-quality packaging solutions. You will work alongside the engineering team to update existing components, create new parts from R&D designs and contribute to technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Update and refine existing CAD parts based on design requirements and customer feedback
- Create new CAD drawings and technical specifications for R&D and bench designs
- Support the development of assembly and building manuals for machinery systems
- Contribute ideas and input into engineering processes and manufacturing workflows
- Travel to customer sites to understand machinery requirements and gather design briefs
- Work independently on assigned tasks whilst responding to direction from your line manager
- Communicate technical information clearly to colleagues and customers
Who They’re Looking For:
- Degree qualification in engineering or related discipline
- Proven CAD experience and proficiency with design software
- Programming experience in C++ or similar languages (desirable)
- Strong communication skills with ability to listen, follow instruction and work with initiative
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate technical documentation
- Valid driving licence and own car.
