Refrigeration Engineer in Haywards Heath

Our client, an established and expanding refrigeration and air conditioning company seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join their team.

You\’ll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing refrigeration and air conditioning systems across commercial, industrial, food production and clinical environments. Working with both cutting-edge technology and traditional hand tools, your expertise will directly support our client\’s customers by diagnosing complex system problems, performing scheduled maintenance and responding to service calls.

• Monday to Friday (8:00am – 5:00pm)
• On-call rota: 1 in 4 – £80 standby rate for on-call rota participation
• Local work with minimal call-outs and unsocial hours
• Overtime opportunities and project work bonuses
• 28 days annual holiday including bank holidays

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve refrigeration and air conditioning system faults using software, technology and hand tools
• Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance on a variety of commercial and industrial systems
• Respond to service call requests within agreed response times
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work completed
• Keep all service tools, protective clothing and van equipment in good working condition
• Contribute to project work and support the on-call rota as required

Who They’re Looking For:

• Minimum five years\’ experience in refrigeration engineering
• Proven experience with coldstore and cold room systems (frozen and chilled)
• NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Refrigeration or equivalent
• Full UK driving licence
• Eligible to live and work in the UK
