Are you a qualified Gas or Water Service Layer with hands-on experience in the installation and commissioning of water and gas systems? Our client is a well-established utilities organisation specialising in field-based site installations and project work.

As a Site Technician you will play a crucial role in the safe installation, testing and commissioning of new utility connections onto live pipelines. Your focus on safety, combined with strong communication skills and a collaborative approach, will be essential as you work alongside operatives and contractors on sensitive sites and public highways. Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out the hands-on installation, testing, and commissioning of new water and gas connections onto live pipelines.
  • Prepare and review clear Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) before work begins.
  • Work closely with colleagues and external contractors.
  • Safely operate site machinery and equipment, such as excavators and winches.
  • Adapt to changing project requirements to ensure success.

  • Gas or water utility experience.
  • Installing extensive pipework.

  • Experience working with and writing RAMS.
  • CSCS card.
  • Valid driving licence.
