Our client is a specialist provider of learning, leadership and team development experiences, combining tailored learning programmes with high-quality venue solutions for corporate events and workshops. They are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to identify and engage corporate clients, design bespoke learning solutions and drive revenue growth across both learning and venue services. The role is based on site at the Venue in Warwickshire and involves visiting clients and new prospects UK wide regularly.

As Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in identifying new corporate clients and developing consultative relationships with senior stakeholders. You will conduct discovery conversations to understand client needs, design tailored learning solutions and manage the complete sales process from initial engagement to proposal. Your ability to cross-sell venue and residential facilities alongside learning programmes will be essential, as will your skill in maintaining accurate CRM records, reporting on performance and attending industry networking events to build your pipeline.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and engage prospective corporate clients through targeted outreach and industry networking activities
  • Conduct discovery conversations with senior stakeholders to understand leadership and skills development needs
  • Design tailored learning solutions that address specific client requirements and business objectives
  • Manage the full sales process, including proposal development, negotiation and contract closure
  • Cross-sell venue and residential facilities to maximise integrated service delivery and revenue opportunities
  • Develop and execute targeted sales plans with clear revenue targets and performance milestones
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records and provide regular performance reporting
  • Attend industry networking events to build relationships and generate new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Venue Sales teams to align messaging and drive integrated growth initiatives
  • Build trusted partnerships with clients, positioning yourself as a consultative advisor rather than a transactional salesperson
Requirements
  • Proven experience in Learning & Development sales, corporate training markets or related consultative B2B sales environments
  • Strong understanding of L&D solutions, training delivery models and corporate learning markets
  • Excellent questioning, listening and influencing skills with a consultative sales approach
  • Demonstrated ability to develop trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Commercially minded approach to managing sales pipelines, forecasting and meeting revenue targets
  • Proven track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • Strong CRM experience and ability to maintain accurate records and reporting
  • Collaborative and proactive mindset aligned with 'One Team' values

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
