Oyster Partnership is working with a well-regarded London Borough that is strengthening its Private Sector Housing team. They are looking for a Housing Enforcement Officer to carry out inspections and take forward formal action across the borough.
The Role
You will be working across a busy Private Sector Housing function, managing cases from inspection through to enforcement. This is a hands‑on role where you will:
- Carry out HHSRS inspections
- Identify hazards and breaches
- Take forward enforcement action
- Issue civil penalties
- Prepare and progress prosecutions
You will be given ownership of your caseload and expected to see cases through, supported by an experienced and well‑structured team.
What You Need
- Experience in Private Sector Housing enforcement
- Strong working knowledge of HHSRS
- Experience taking formal action, including civil penalties and prosecutions
- Confidence managing cases end to end
- EHO or Technical Officer backgrounds will both be considered if you have solid enforcement experience.
