Oyster Partnership is currently recruiting multiple Housing Compliance Officers to join a busy London local authority.
Working within a dedicated compliance team, you will be responsible for undertaking property compliance visits, ensuring landlords meet their statutory obligations, and supporting the council's work to improve standards across the private rented sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out property compliance inspections
- Assessing compliance with housing standards and licensing requirements
- Identifying breaches and advising on remedial actions
- Producing inspection reports and maintaining accurate records
- Working with landlords, agents and tenants to improve compliance
- Supporting wider private sector housing initiatives
About You
- Experience working within a Local Authority Private Sector Housing team
- Experience undertaking housing compliance inspections
- Good knowledge of housing legislation and licensing schemes
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
