As a Graduate Consultant, you will embark on a learning journey to build your career in Oyster IMS’ services and expertise. You will have the chance to work closely with the Head of Data Protection, Head of Information Security, and Head of Information Governance, along with other key business stakeholders. Your role will primarily involve engaging with a diverse range of clients and colleagues, allowing you to learn how to implement and maintain scalable, robust solutions that deliver real value. Key Responsibilities:
- Knowledge
- Develop knowledge of Oyster IMS services, products, and technology, including core and advanced offerings.
- Learn about security best practices and principles.
- Assist in understanding client issues and contribute to providing successful solutions.
- Gain familiarity with Data Protection, Information Security, Information Governance, IT and Third-Party Risk Management principles.
- Learn about ISMS and ISO 27001 accreditation processes.
- Attend training sessions and pass exams, where appropriate, to improve knowledge and continue learning.
- Consultancy
- Support with client projects, work-products, and tasks across the range of Oyster IMS services and propositions.
- Work as part of the broader Oyster IMS Consulting team providing advisory services and supporting projects in all areas of data protection, information governance, information security records management.
- Build and foster strong and trusted working relationships with your clients in partnership with other Oyster IMS Consultants.
- Provide pragmatic and realistic support to clients with a solution-focused mindset.
- Identify and highlight where barriers or delays may impact delivery and proactively work with the client and internal Oyster IMS colleagues to resolve.
- Maintain clear and accessible project documentation, following Oyster IMS’ framework and knowledge base including Project documentation, status updates and RAID logs.
- Own the deployment, identifying solutions and escalating where required.
- Balance the delivery of client expectations with Oyster IMS’ commercial terms.
- Ensure client teams are engaged and delivering in line with the project delivery plan.
- Technical Advice
- Operating as a technical advisor for Oyster IMS services and our products, provide technical advice and troubleshooting, drawing on your knowledge and Oyster IMS’ deep expertise in deploying solutions to multiple clients over a number of years.
- Taking a methodical and systematic approach to troubleshooting, drawing on personal and Oyster IMS’ experience and range of resources to resolve issues.
- Training Rotation
- Engage in rotational assignments across key departments, each lasting between three and six months, to gain diverse, hands-on experience across Information Security, Data Protection, Information Governance and Business Development.
- Develop a broad understanding of Oyster’s operations by actively contributing to each department’s goals and initiatives.
- Document and reflect on experiences and skills gained during each rotation to enhance learning and professional growth.
- Attend and actively participate in monthly workshops covering essential topics such as leadership, communication, project management, and technical skills development.
- Engage in job shadowing opportunities to observe and learn the day-to-day responsibilities and best practices of various roles within the organisation.
- Collaborate on cross-departmental projects, applying theoretical knowledge and skills to practical, real-world situations to drive business outcomes.
- Create and implement personal development plans, pursuing both internal and external training opportunities to obtain qualifications that align with Oyster’s strategic goals and personal career.
