We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Agent to join a regional civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure works on HS2 projects across Warwickshire. The company has an excellent reputation within the civils sector and is involved in a range of works including earthworks, drainage, highways, reinforced concrete and associated infrastructure packages. This is a long-term freelance opportunity with immediate starts available.
The Role
Reporting into the Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards. Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing day-to-day site activities and subcontractors
- Coordinating labour, plant and materials on site
- Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme requirements
- Overseeing health & safety and ensuring compliance across site
- Reviewing RAMS, permits and site documentation
- Liaising with engineers, commercial teams and client representatives
- Managing site records, progress reporting and quality inspections
- Supporting delivery across reinforced concrete, earthworks, drainage and infrastructure works
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Site Agent within civil engineering
- Strong reinforced concrete (RC) experience is essential
- Experience delivering infrastructure, highways, earthworks or major civils projects
- HS2 experience would be advantageous
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certificates required
- Engineering background preferred
- Ability to manage subcontractors, programme and quality on live civils sites
- Strong communication and organisational skills
