A well-established, large regional contractor in the East Midlands is looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial team across a range of civil engineering projects. The Role:

  • Working closely with Senior and Managing Quantity Surveyors, you will be involved in the day-to-day commercial management of projects, including:
  • Assisting with cost control and reporting
  • Supporting the preparation of valuations and applications for payment
  • Subcontractor procurement and management
  • Measurement and pricing of works
  • Assisting with variations and final accounts
  • General commercial administration across live projects

About You:

  • Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying or Assistant QS role
  • Experience within civil engineering, groundworks, or infrastructure projects
  • Exposure to heavy civils and earthworks is highly desirable
  • Degree or working towards qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
  • Good communication skills and willingness to learn
