We're working with a leading civil engineering contractor delivering major packages on HS2, and they're looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Agent on a permanent basis.
This role suits someone who has led large, complex civil engineering works and can take ownership of multiple work fronts while mentoring site teams in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
The Role
As Senior Site Agent, you'll take overall responsibility for site delivery, supporting the Project Manager and leading Site Agents, Engineers and Supervisors to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading day-to-day site delivery on HS2 work packages
- Managing multiple work fronts and site teams
- Driving health, safety, quality and environmental performance
- Programme planning, short-term lookaheads and progress reporting
- Managing subcontractors and resolving technical and operational issues
- Client, stakeholder and supply chain liaison
- Reviewing and approving RAMS and permits
- Mentoring and developing site-based staff
About You
- Proven experience as a Senior Site Agent or experienced Site Agent ready to step up
- Strong background in major civils / infrastructure works
- Experience on rail, highways, earthworks or structures projects
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- SMSTS, CSCS (Manager), First Aid
- Based within commutable distance of Aylesbury
- HS2 experience advantageous but not essential
