A well-established regional civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Site Agent to support the delivery of highways schemes, bridge works and wider heavy civils projects across Eastbourne and the surrounding area. This is a key site-based role, working closely with Project Managers and Engineers to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification.
Key Responsibilities:- Day-to-day management of site activities and subcontractors
- Delivering highways, bridge and heavy civils works safely and efficiently
- Ensuring compliance with RAMS, permits and quality standards
- Coordinating labour, plant and materials
- Liaising with clients, local authorities and stakeholders
- Monitoring progress, costs and programme
- Supporting and mentoring site engineers and supervisors
- Proven experience as a Site Agent on highways, bridges or heavy civils projects
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering construction methods
- SMSTS, CSCS (minimum), First Aid
- Ability to manage multiple work fronts and subcontractors
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Long-term pipeline of local work
- Competitive salary or day rate
