Design Engineer – CNC Manufacturing

OYSTER CNC is growing, and we’re looking for a skilled Design Engineer to join our team. We specialise in high-precision CNC machining, delivering tight-tolerance components for a wide range of industries.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with machinists and production teams to bring designs to life and improve manufacturability.
What we’re looking for:- 5+ years SolidWorks experience (3D modelling, assemblies, drawings)
- Strong mechanical design and DFM knowledge
- Experience with CNC machining processes
- Hands-on machining experience with at least one of the following; Doosan, Mazak, Citizen, or Willemin (Fanuc controller)
- Ability to program using GibbsCAM
- Practical problem-solver with strong attention to detail
- Design and refine components for CNC manufacture
- Create technical drawings and production documentation
- Collaborate across the shop floor to optimise designs
- Support prototyping, validation, and troubleshooting
