This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious Project Engineer to play a key role in the successful delivery of major offshore renewable energy projects across the UK and Europe.


Based in our clients UK head office in Weybridge, Surrey and reporting to the Project Manager, you will support the planning, engineering and execution of complex Offshore Renewable Energy projects, including Subsea Rock Installation (SRI) activities that protect offshore wind infrastructure, subsea cables and pipelines.


Working alongside highly experienced engineering professionals, you will gain exposure to every stage of project delivery, from tender support and engineering studies through to offshore execution, technical problem solving and continuous improvement. This role offers an excellent platform for an engineer looking to build a long-term career within the offshore energy industry.


The Opportunity


As Project Engineer, you will provide practical engineering support across a portfolio of offshore energy projects, helping to deliver safe, efficient and technically robust solutions. You'll work closely with Project Management, Engineering, Quality, HSE, Commercial and Supply Chain teams, giving you broad exposure to multidisciplinary project delivery while developing your technical expertise in subsea engineering and offshore construction. No two projects are the same, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and working in a collaborative, international environment.


Key Responsibilities



  • Support the successful delivery of offshore energy projects from planning through to execution.

  • Assist in producing engineering documentation, technical reports, calculations and project deliverables.

  • Prepare regular project progress reports, monitor project actions and support engineering governance.

  • Provide engineering support to resolve technical issues during project planning and offshore operations.

  • Assist with project planning, risk identification and technical decision making.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project performance and operational efficiency.


Technical Engineering


Contribute to the development and validation of engineering solutions relating to:



  • Fall-pipe vessel operations and performance

  • Cable and pipeline protection systems

  • Seabed interaction and rock placement analysis

  • Offshore wind foundation protection

  • Installation methodologies and engineering assessments


Typical engineering activities may include:



  • Fall-pipe dynamic behaviour modelling

  • Dispersion and seabed interaction analysis

  • Cable impact and protection assessments

  • Pipeline and cable tracking analysis

  • Seabed morphology studies

  • Work closely with senior engineering leadership to identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, project execution and operational performance.

  • Capture lessons learned from projects and contribute to best practice guidance.

  • Support technical input into future bids and project estimates.


Project Support



  • Prepare and maintain project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Support Quality and HSE teams with inspections, documentation and project assurance activities.

  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.


About You


We're looking for someone with a strong engineering foundation, excellent analytical skills and a genuine enthusiasm for offshore energy. Someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and developing practical engineering solutions that make a real difference on major infrastructure projects.


Qualifications & Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Civil Engineering, Offshore Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.

  • Previous engineering experience or an internship within offshore, marine, construction, energy or infrastructure sectors.

  • Exposure to offshore engineering or subsea construction projects would be advantageous.

  • Experience working within multicultural or international project teams is desirable.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • A proactive, positive and solutions-focused approach.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • The ability to work effectively across multiple disciplines, cultures and time zones.

  • An understanding of marine engineering principles and offshore industry standards within the UK and European markets.

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.

  • Experience using engineering, analytical or statistical software.

  • Familiarity with document management systems such as Ecodoc would be beneficial.

  • The ability to prioritise work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.

  • A high level of professionalism, integrity and personal accountability.
