Are you reliable, energetic and ready to roll up your sleeves? Oxygen House is looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our forward-thinking kitchen team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be a key part of keeping our kitchen running smoothly; from organising supplies to maintaining a clean environment. We’re not your average kitchen. At Oxygen House, we’re building planet-positive food experiences that nourish people and the planet. What you’ll be doing:
- Keeping the pot wash area clean and efficient
- Handling deliveries and moving wholesale crates and bulk supplies
- Supporting the kitchen team with cleaning, organisation, and basic food prep
- Maintaining tidy and hygienic storage areas
- Following food safety and hygiene standards
- Pitching in wherever needed to help the team
This role is split between two locations: Oxygen House at Exeter Business Park and the Five Bells pub in Clyst Hydon. The majority of your time will be spent at Oxygen House, with a regular Sunday shift at the Five Bells every other week. The Kitchen Porter is expected to work every Monday, Wednesday and alternate Sundays. In weeks when the Sunday is not worked, one additional day will be scheduled flexibly based on business needs.

- Someone who is physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Someone with a strong focus on cleanliness and hygiene in everything they do
- A team player who takes pride in doing a great job
- Organised, reliable, and proactive
- Willing to learn and support others
- Experience in a kitchen environment is a bonus, but not essential
