Duties & Responsibilities
- Working as part of a wider project team to implement early payment programmes, leading the Sourcing / Procurement workstream.
- Work with clients to implement the early payment offer within the evaluation of tenders and embed within related documentation.
- Roll out the solution and generate buy-in across the client organisation (Procurement & various other departments) to ensure the inclusion of early payment in all possible opportunities.
- Respond to client queries regarding the inclusion of early payment in complex tenders, engaging via email or calls to ensure understanding and driving solutions through to completion.
- Supporting with the development and execution of other internal projects.
The Team
Due to an expanding client base, we are looking for an experienced sourcing professional to provide additional capacity within our Client Services team, primarily leading the Sourcing Procurement workstream of new Early Payment projects and supporting existing clients to deliver further growth. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual with procurement experience and excellent presentation and communication skills to utilise their existing skillset whilst gaining project management experience in a fast-growing business. You will be responsible for leading new clients, primarily Local Authorities, through a project plan to implement changes to procurement activities, building support within the organisation and co-ordinating documentation updates & reviews. You will be first-line response for any existing client queries on complex tenders, developing creative solutions to ensure maximum benefit.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
You are able to demonstrate and possess the following attributes:
Essential
- Experience with Procurement & contracting processes, ideally Local Government / Public Sector
- An understanding of Public Procurement Law
- Contract / tender drafting experience
Desirable
- Experience in Public Sector Procurement, Contracts and tendering activity
- Experience of Construction / Works contracts i.e. NEC / JCT
- Experience of Project Management
- CIPS Level 4 or above
