If you’re bursting with innovative ideas, passionate about purposeful storytelling, and ready to help shape one of the UK’s most credible conservation and Natural Capital podcasts, we’d love to hear from you.
About You
We believe in recruiting exceptional people and shaping roles that allow them to achieve extraordinary things. We are committed to building a genuinely diverse team drawn from across the country, with a wide range of lived and learnt experiences. You may bring lots of strengths in some areas and less in others, and that is absolutely fine. We’re looking for a confident, organised and creatively curious Podcast Producer who can take ownership of a maturing and growing podcast platform. You’ll bring a mix of technical ability, creativity and collaborative spirit. If you can bring those qualities and a passion for making a difference, we would love to hear from you!
Environment
- Passionate about the environment and motivated by the role finance can play in restoring nature.
- Interest in conservation, climate, nature recovery or purpose-led business.
Impact
- Proven experience producing podcasts or long‑form audio/video content.
- Strong editorial judgement and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.
- Confident communication skills and experience working with senior or external guests.
- Experience creating and scheduling engaging content across social platforms (particularly LinkedIn and Instagram).
- Ability to edit short‑form audio or video content for promotional use (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition, Descript or similar).
Adventure
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for truly exciting and special podcast recordings or events.
- Excited to be part of a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial team, shaping Oxygen Creative, part of the Oxygen Conservation team.
Together
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Sharing snacks on long journeys or a packed lunch whilst out in the driving rain is mandatory!
About the Role
This is a full time role with responsibility for the end‑to‑end production, promotion and performance of Second Nature. As podcast producer you will report into Penny (Content Producer) and work closely with the wider marketing team to ensure the podcast aligns with Oxygen Conservation’s strategic priorities and storytelling direction. You’ll be trusted with real ownership, supported through regular feedback, and encouraged to experiment creatively while working within a clear editorial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Full control of editing process.
- Uploading and release of weekly podcast episodes with written content for each.
- Monitor podcast and social performance, using insight and support from the team to inform content and growth decisions.
- Organise and manage logistics for podcast recordings, including venue booking, support equipment setup, guest experience and, where needed, support guest travel arrangements for on‑location recordings.
- Develop engaging content for social media platforms (Instagram & LinkedIn – but we are open to exploring new channels!) to promote podcast episodes and engage with our audience.
We believe in recruiting exceptional people and helping them to do incredible things. Expect one‑on‑one support and constructive feedback. We’re not just about refining skills; we’re champions of creative exploration, giving you the freedom to innovate and push boundaries. And the best part? You’ll be surrounded by a team of exceptional individuals who are genuinely invested in your journey.
About Us
Oxygen Conservation was founded in 2021 by the Oxygen House Group and Dr Rich Stockdale with a clear mission: Scaling Conservation. We acquire land at scale on behalf of asset owners to deliver transformative environmental and social impact – creating profit as a result of what we do. In just three years, we’ve completed twelve transactions, assembling a portfolio of over 50,000 acres dedicated to restoring and protecting nature. Our vision is intentionally aspirational and inspirational: by 2030, we aim to have £1 billion of natural capital assets under management, enabling us to protect and restore 250,000 acres of land for people and wildlife. By combining our scale, reputation, cutting‑edge data, and exceptional skills, we’re redefining conservation.
Our work hasn’t gone unnoticed. In 2022, we were named Start‑Up of the Year at the Business Leader South West Awards, followed by Team of the Year at the 2023 Edie Awards and our nature funding agreement with Triodos won ESG Deal of the Year at the 2024 Insider South West Dealmakers Awards. Our founder and CEO, Dr Rich Stockdale, is featured in the ENDS Power List as one of the top 100 UK environmental professionals driving significant impact, and was shortlisted for Edie’s Leader of the Year Award in 2024. At Oxygen Conservation, we’re scaling impact, creating opportunities, and leading the charge for a nature‑based economy that works for people, wildlife, and the planet.
