Natural capital is emerging as one of the world's most significant new asset classes, and the commercial market for it is being built now. Oxygen Conservation is one of the companies building that market. We're a fast-scaling business on a mission to protect and restore the natural environment at an institutional scale, aiming for £1 billion of assets under management by 2030, and we'll get there by bringing real commercial discipline to conservation.

We've developed the highest-quality nature-based carbon credits in the world, at record prices, and this is just the beginning. We're now bringing our portfolio of 2 million premium natural capital credits to market, and this role exists to help deliver that. You'll work with Chris Winter, our Director of Natural Capital, and focus on landing the deals that make our commercial strategy real.

What we can't teach is the instinct for a premium sale, the discipline to hold a price, and the relationships that follow you from one deal to the next. Do that here, and you'll be closing landmark deals that help prove, one agreement at a time, that nature can be commercialised at scale without ever compromising on integrity.

You've built a career selling premium, considered products or services in high-value, relationship-led environments, where the sale is won on scarcity, provenance and trust rather than volume or discounting. You know how buyers with real due diligence make decisions, and you're comfortable holding your ground in high-trust commercial conversations. You care passionately about quality, and you have an unrelenting commitment to delivery.

Quality over quick wins: you care about the outcome, not just the deal. You're radically transparent with partners (and with us) when something doesn't add up, and you walk away when the shape of a deal would compromise quality or integrity.

Financial literacy to model your own deals: you can appraise how a credit sale affects an investment return, how pricing decisions ripple through a business model, and articulate both clearly to others. Technology as leverage: you understand that the right systems, AI tools and data platforms multiply a commercial leader's impact.

A learner by instinct: you'll become genuinely bilingual in the fast-moving carbon and biodiversity credit markets, and just as comfortable with the technology that underpins how we make decisions and the products you take to market. Over time, you'll become one of the leading commercial operators in the sector.

You bring the urgency to operate at our speed and the resilience for the long term, because deals in this developing market don't close in a quarter, and the work between 'yes in principle' and signed contract is where most people fall away. You treat the zero-to-one nature of this role as the appeal, not the risk, and you treat collaboration as the way you build, not friction along the way.

We have a very rigid 'No Dickheads' policy. Deal-making as a creative discipline: when a partner says 'this doesn't work for us,' you've already prepared alternative shapes (different tenor, volume, commitment) and can walk through them confidently.

A translator and a storyteller: you move between conservation science, investor narrative and corporate procurement language without losing fluency in any of them, and you understand that premium propositions are won on story as much as substance.

This role exists to bring our premium natural capital portfolio to market: supporting the sale of 2 million high-integrity carbon, biodiversity and nature credits to corporate partners and private investors, at prices that align with the uniqueness of our offering.

Your primary focus is securing offtake agreements, premium credit sales and long-term strategic partnerships for OC's natural capital portfolio, within the commercial strategy set by Chris Winter, our Director of Natural Capital.

  • Own the number: carry responsibility for progressing the sale of 2 million premium credits: landing the offtake agreements, premium sales and long-term partnerships our strategy targets.
  • Sell at the top of the market: position our credits at the premium end and defend the pricing that quality deserves.
  • Land key partnerships: secure long-term relationships with corporates, investors and strategic buyers that shape the future of the market.
  • Structure deals where no template exists yet: work with Chris Winter and the wider team to create commercial structures for a market still being built.
  • Strengthen the investment case: ensure every deal you close builds confidence in natural capital as a scalable institutional asset class.
  • Use AI as leverage: bring AI into your daily workflow to move faster, spot opportunities earlier, and operate at a level traditional commercial teams cannot match.

You'll work with Chris Winter, Director of Natural Capital, who owns the commercial strategy this role delivers against. Day to day, you'll work closely with colleagues across our Conservation, Capital and Intelligence divisions (natural capital, data and analytics, investment, legal, finance and marketing) who've spent years building expertise across carbon markets, biodiversity net gain and peatland restoration.

Externally, your relationships will span global corporates, hyperscalers, high net worth individuals and other strategic partners who want exposure to high-quality, high-integrity natural capital.

Oxygen Conservation was founded in 2021 with a clear mission: Scaling Conservation. We're building the UK's first genuine natural capital portfolio, acquiring large landscapes, restoring them at scale, and creating investable natural capital products including premium carbon credits, biodiversity net gain units, renewable energy partnerships, and ecotourism experiences.

By 2030, we aim to have £1 billion of natural capital assets under management, enabling us to protect and restore 250,000 acres of land for people and wildlife. Oxygen Capital is the investment and finance division of Oxygen Conservation, focused on raising capital, developing natural capital opportunities, and supporting the commercial growth of large-scale conservation. Oxygen Intelligence is our data and analytical infrastructure division, providing the insight, measurement, and proprietary tools that underpin our wider platform.

While each division has a distinct external focus, all teams sit within the wider Oxygen Conservation platform and work closely together to deliver our mission of scaling conservation. We move fast, hold ourselves to high standards, and genuinely believe that what we're building matters.

Term: Full-time, permanent.
