We are seeking a Senior Medical Writer who strikes the perfect balance between a meticulous scientist and a visionary storyteller. If you are looking to move away from repetitive tasks and into a role where you help shape the strategic scientific direction for global pharmaceutical leaders, this is your next step.
The Role
As a Senior Medical Writer, you will be the scientific heartbeat of your accounts. You will take high-level clinical data and translate it into clear, accurate, and impactful communications across a variety of platforms from digital patient engagement tools to high-tier congress presentations and publications.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the subject matter expert on key therapeutic areas, providing deep insights that inform both client strategy and creative execution.
- Create high-quality, medically accurate content for a range of audiences, including HCPs, patients, and internal pharmaceutical stakeholders.
- Work closely with Account Management and Strategy teams to ensure all scientific content aligns with the brand’s commercial and clinical objectives.
- Lead scientific discussions with external experts and client medical teams, acting as a credible and authoritative partner.
- Provide guidance and rigorous peer review for junior writers, upholding the agency’s reputation for excellence.
Who You Are
- You hold an advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in a life sciences discipline.
- You have 3+ years of experience in a medical writing role within a healthcare communications agency.
- You possess the rare ability to simplify the complex without losing the scientific nuances required for regulatory and ethical compliance.
- You understand the "why" behind the data and can identify how specific clinical outcomes translate into real-world benefits for patients.
- You are comfortable working across multi-channel outputs and are curious about how technology (including AI and data visualisation) can enhance scientific storytelling.
Why This Agency?
- Located in the heart of London, this agency offers a unique "boutique feel" backed by global resources.
- Access to a world-class internal academy designed to move you toward Principal Medical Writer or Scientific Director levels.
- A mature approach to hybrid working that respects your output over your desk time.
