GIS Technician

• Please note this position in not fully remote, you will still be required to be onsite at one of the following offices twice a week – Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter, London, Manchester or Bristol

An award-winning Environment Consultancy are looking for a GIS Technician to help them drive their Ecology GIS Capabilities throughout the business. This is a new role, and an exciting opportunity to support the development of a growing GIS team and shape how spatial data is used.

The team are looking for candidates with the following:

• Working knowledge of QGIS
• Experience setting up spatial data management systems
• Strong understanding of digital field survey apps
• Exposure to a variety of GIS software packages.

The company also operate on a 4 day working week. Essentially a 4-day working week (Monday-Thursday) on a salary equal to 5 days, so 80% of your time for 100% pay.

The salary on offer is £29,500 (£32,500 if working from the London office).

The company have offices in Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter, London, Manchester and Bristol and they operate a hybrid working model with an expectation of two days in the office – this can be at any of the offices listed above.
